In today’s KXDJ “Did You Hear That?” segment with Chris Samples, he asks an expert; where do we find the balance between meeting the legitimate needs of those that really need programs like Medicaid and controlling the abuse of the program?

Phil Kerpen is president of the national free market advocacy group American Commitment. He says, “I think the Medicaid program needs to be returned to its original purpose which is to provide coverage to the truly needy. People who are disabled, very poor families with children, people who have no other option, no other capability, no other way to get care.”
