I have a client who just received a bill for his mother’s Medicaid Long Term Care that was done at her house instead of a nursing home during the last few years of his mother’s life. No one informed him that Medicaid (the State of Texas) was running a tab of the entire healthcare that Medicaid paid and wanted to be reimbursed after his mother died.
