IOWA  —  Iowa leaders no longer face a lawsuit over switching to a privately-managed Medicaid system.

According to the Des Moines Register, a federal judge dismissed the lawsuit filed by Disability Rights Iowa on Friday morning. The lawsuit claimed Medicaid benefits were being illegally cut.

The judge dismissed the lawsuit because plaintiffs were enrolled through AmeriHealth Caritas, which is no longer one of the managed care providers.
