FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) – A Kentucky doctor convicted of Medicaid fraud has been sentenced to five years in prison and ordered to pay more than $10,000 in restitution.     Authorities say 58-year-old Dr. Ezekiel O. Akande of Somerset was sentenced late last week by Pulaski Circuit Court Judge David A. UNION COUNTY, Ky (LEX 18) A Union County High School softball player is recovering after a softball going more than 70 miles an hour hit her in the face. Senior Evyn Hendrickson threw a pitch and when the ball was hit, it came back and hit her in the face.  The hit was caught on camera. “She was able to get her head turned slightly, so that it did hit her solid and ricochet off but luckily not straight on to her face,” said Union County High School Athletic Dir…

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) – A former golf and country club will go up for auction Monday. The fate of a bankrupt country club and golf course in Lexington is still up in the air. The Andover Golf and Country Club that weaves through several residential neighborhoods is set for auction on Monday. It closed in February due to bankruptcy and foreclosure. Residents are still waiting to find out who will buy the property, and what they will do with it.
