HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– What’s on the table right now in terms of the state budget proposal could strip Medicaid coverage from low-income residents.

About 10,000 parents, in addition to nearly 70,000 elderly and disabled people are at risk

A local advocacy group is now calling on lawmakers for a more balanced revenue approach to cover our state’s most vulnerable.

Coalition leaders are calling for lawmakers to stop Medicaid cuts. They have a rally set for this at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in Hartford.
