BATON ROUGE — Louisiana is experiencing what is likely to become its first significant increase in the rate of adults who have health insurance in more than a decade.

The latest edition of the Louisiana Health Insurance Survey, released Tuesday, found one in five adults here didn’t have health care coverage in estimates dating back to at least 2003, when the LSU-based survey first began.
