There are 26 states waiting for their section 1115 Medicaid waivers to gain approval, according to Medicaid.gov.

Under the Social Security Act, section 1115 waivers allow states to test healthcare delivery models for Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program. For example, the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources received approval of its section 1115 waiver Oct. 6 to strengthen substance misuse care for Medicaid beneficiaries.

Here are the 26 states with one or more pending 1115 waivers as of Oct. 13.
